Notifications integration
AgendaForge + Slack
Push event activity to the right Slack channel the moment it happens — no tab-switching.
The AgendaForge Slack integration posts a message to a Slack channel whenever something meaningful happens in your event — a new submission lands, a speaker is added, a sponsor moves tiers. Instead of refreshing the dashboard or forwarding emails, your team watches the event unfold in the channel they already live in. You connect Slack once per organization, then choose a channel and which events should post on a per-event basis, so a busy conference and a small workshop can each have their own signal-to-noise balance. It is genuinely wired — OAuth install, channel selection, a test message to confirm it works, and automated triggers — not a roadmap promise.
Capabilities
What the Slack integration does.
- Posts a formatted message to a chosen Slack channel when a contact, session, sponsor, or form submission changes.
- Connects once per organization via Slack OAuth, then is configured per event so each event can target its own channel.
- Filters which records post — for example only confirmed speakers, only a specific track, or only sponsors above a tier — so the channel stays useful.
- Sends a test message on setup so you can confirm the connection and channel before going live.
Triggers
What fires, and what happens.
contact.added / updated / removed
Posts when a contact (speaker, sponsor contact, attendee) is created, edited, or deleted — filterable by role and status.
session.added / updated / removed
Posts when a session changes — filterable by session type and track.
sponsor.added / updated / removed
Posts when a sponsor changes — filterable by tier and booth status.
form.submitted
Posts when an application, registration, or sponsor-intake form is submitted, including the field responses.
Setup
Connect it in minutes.
-
Connect Slack to your organization
In Event Settings → Integrations → Slack, click Connect and authorize the AgendaForge app for your Slack workspace. This is a one-time, org-wide step.
-
Pick a channel and send a test
Choose the Slack channel that should receive messages for this event, then send a test message to confirm everything is wired correctly.
-
Add the triggers you want
Turn on the specific events that should post — new submissions, confirmed speakers, sponsor changes — and apply filters so only the records you care about reach the channel.
Good to know
Slack messages flow one way: AgendaForge → Slack. Replying in the channel doesn't update AgendaForge, and Slack isn't a two-way sync. The connection is authorized per Slack workspace at the organization level, while the channel and triggers are chosen per event.
